Within the intimate and dark space, the floating whiteness of constructions was illuminated by a tiny projector. I created a diorama that the audience conforms their bodies and eye levels to interact with. Shadow play on the back wall as the image within the theatre traverses the cut out space in the shape of the word “personal”. The bodies are constantly in motion, speaking to a distracted mood of alienation, solitude, anonymity, time passing and in between spaces. What does “personal” mean in the context of it leaking out of a protected environment? What gets left behind? What happened to the things that are eventually left behind? Do the things left behind hold more weight as “personal” since they now exist only in a memory state?
